Earned a Master of Arts degree in psychology from California State University Chico in 1989 and became a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in 1996. She moved to Port Townsend in 1995 and became interested in Five Element Acupuncture and Jungian Psychotherapy as a result of her personal experience with a debilitating form of fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder that is not well understood by Western Medicine. While recovering, she began studying Five Element Acupuncture at Wu Hsing Tao Clinic in Seattle in 2005, graduating from its program in 2009. Concurrently she began Jungian studies and analysis and continues to work and study with analysts in California and Washington. She is a member of the Jungian Psychotherapists Association of Seattle. She credits her recovery and her return to health and vitality to the combination of these artful treatment modalities.
